Big Soft Ginger Cookies

 These are an autumn favorite at our house--they are delicious with homemade apple juice, or bottled fruit, or apples, or milk.....or on their own.














Big Soft Ginger Cookies

4  1/2 cups flour
4 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine and set aside

Cream together:
1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
Add dry ingredients, mix well.  Make into balls
Put 4 Tablespoons sugar in a bowl
Roll the balls in the sugar
Place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes
