Elizabeth's favorite recipe of the week - Fast French Dip Sandwhiches

I feel like we do not really utilize this blog as much as we should - so I am going to start putting on my favorite recipe from the week and I encourage the rest of you to do the same.

I have never had a French Dip sandwich until about a month ago. I thought the concept sounded gross (soggy sandwich dipped in sauce to make it soggier...gross). But Matt likes them so I made them. Since I have perfected the simplicity of the recipe and it is now part of our "I don't have time to make the meal designated for the day - but always have these ingredients on hand so make this easy go-to" meal rotation.

Fast French Dip Sandwiches:

Deli roast beef
Cheese (we like to use provolone, swiss or montery jack)
Deli rolls or Texas toast
1 can of Campbell french onion soup

Put french onion soup (un-diluted) in a microwave dish and add the deli roast beef. Warm in the microwave. Broil buttered rolls/bread and cheese until melted. Add roast beef to rolls - and use the french onion soup (un-diluted) for your dipping sauce.

Serve with a side of carrot sticks and you have a meal in about 5 minutes with only 4 ingredients. I am sure you can make it more fancy too with green peppers, tomatoes and different kinds of cheese/meat.

You can thank me later for adding this gem to your cooking life.
