I have been working hard on my healthy living resolutions - mostly inspired by the Canyon County Weight loss challenge where the winner gets $6,000. I joined up with some friends and have really tried to change how I eat, exercise and live. In talking with friends about their dieting thoughts - most people just want to put it off to the end and then do something extreme for the final weigh in. I am tired of putting off my health. I am tired of feeling guilty for being a contributor to "overweight" America. It is taking more energy to be obese than it is worth.
I like this new food blog - with inspirational cards and a new food challenge each week to try to get healthier. It seems like small steps will be the biggest change for me in the long run.
Another health food thing I have discovered is the joy of organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. You have to make sure that it is the raw "mother" vinegar - but you can find it at most health food stores (and I found mine at Albertsons). Taken 3 times daily (2 teaspoons in a glass of water each time) - it is suppose to curb your appetite and help with fat break down and make your skin look ten years younger and help joint pain and everything else magical. I totally think it is working too.
Anyone else have food resolutions?

That sound like a good idea. I've been taking sometime called NAC600 which was recommended by my lung doctor--it's a herbal thing from the health food store. It's supposed to help in the production of anti-oxidents, but in my case it makes me feel not hungry--you take it between meals. Also I think it helps to eat from a small plate, don't eat out of a bag (chips, candy etc), and eat slowly, chewing a few times.
