I know this is a bit early, but you are going to need all month to work on this recipe. The topic for June is cheese sandwiches--so lets see what you can come up with! Whether it is our most simple and basic comfort food to something exotic involving special cheeses, breads, meats, vegetables this is a wonderful blank canvas to work on
For dessert I suggest that you make something with strawberries. In the old days there were lots of strawberry patches in this area--in fact Pleasant Grove still celebrates Strawberry Days--tho they have to import their berries now. We should have a good crop at the Kelly farm--we planted about 50 new plants of a new variety, plus the old ones--if we can keep ahead of the robins. Anyway, be creative and make something delicious with strawberries.

i wish i could find somewhere around here to go pick strawberries. i know people grow them in their yards, but i don't know if they are farmed. i had great success at the farmers market with other kinds of produce last week, so maybe they'll show up. i hope your crop does really well!
